FORT BELVOIR
Located in the southern part of Fairfax County, bordered by Alexandria and Lorton, Fort Belvoir dates back to World War I when it was established as Camp A. A. Humphreys. Th BRAC realignment has added thousands of new jobs and expanded significant growth to Fort Belvoir. Right now it is home to 11 Army major commands, 19 agencies and units of the Department of Army, 8 elements of the Army Reserve and National Guard, 26 Department of Defense agencies and a handful of additional units and agencies.
